Late filing and reasonable-cause support

Missed Form 5472? Fix the Filing and Address Potential Penalty Exposure

A required Form 5472 may have been missed, but foreign ownership, inactivity, zero income, or EIN status alone does not establish a filing obligation. Entity classification, related parties, reportable transactions, and the tax year must be reviewed.

For a covered failure, IRC §6038A(d) provides potential base exposure of $25,000 per affected year. Filing the delinquent return and requesting reasonable-cause relief are separate services, and the IRS decides assessment and relief.

Exact service prices per tax year

  • Single-Member LLC filing: $399
  • Multi-Member LLC or C Corporation filing: $529
  • Activity schedules: +$99 when applicable
  • IRS submission: +$49 when selected
  • Reasonable-cause or penalty-response service: +$499

The standalone $499 response is available only after the applicable filing has already been submitted and does not include delinquent filing work. First-Time Abatement is not the ordinary relief path for the IRC §6038A Form 5472 penalty.
